On Saturday May 12th the Academy of martial Arts will join the "Fight for Sight" to support the CNIB.
AMA Members who have registered for this event, have committed to 2 hours of continuous grappling. The event will take place in total darkness and the member will be switching partners every 5 minutes.
There will also be a BBQ outside for anyone that would like to drop by and say hi.
The Academy of Martial Arts will step into the ring to help fight diabetes with Karate Chops Diabetes. Through this exciting program, AMA has committed to raise a minimum of $250,000 to support the Canadian Clinical Trial Network through JDRF.
The first fundraising event will be held at the Powerade Centre in Brampton, ON, November 24, 2012. The JDRF Karate Chops Diabetes donation page will be available starting March 1, 2012. As of 2 weeks ago the Karate Chops Rooms at the Hospital were finished and they look great !
